Prepare for Your Exam
What to Bring:
- Photo ID
- Medical Insurance Card
- Copy of your script if provided to you
Different radiology exams have different preparation requirements. You will receive instructions at the time of scheduling and may also receive a follow up call from a technologist.
For Breast Imaging:
- On the day of your exam do not use underarm deodorant, power or cream as these can interfere with test results.
- Wear a two-piece outfit, if possible, this will allow you to wear a gown from the waist up.
- If your last mammogram was completed at another facility, a medical record release form is available to download here. Obtaining your prior mammography images is important because they provide essential breast history against current studies and our radiologist will use them to compare against your new images. Identifying change to breast tissue by comparing images is key to early breast cancer detection.
